According to a 2020 study from the Frontiers in Physiology Journal, mobility limitations have been reported as increasingly prevalent in older adults with about 35% of persons aged 70 and the majority of persons over 85 years affected. Muscle strength and balance also decline with age.
These issues can cause falls, injury and even death. However, these issues can be mitigated with tailored weight and bodyweight training programs.
I’m Felicity Neale, a highly experienced personal trainer with 22 years’ experience in developing bespoke weight training programs for people of all ages and backgrounds. In 2000, I founded my fitness consultancy, Body Management Systems.
Through my Strength With Purpose program, I use resistance and bodyweight training techniques to help people 60 years and over maximise mobility and strength while minimising injury.
